About Langelandslinjen
Langelandslinjen is the brand under which the Danish ferry company Molslinjen operates the ferry between Spodsbjerg on Langeland and Tårs on Lolland. The route across the Langeland Belt is the shortcut between Funen and Zealand: travellers heading from southern Denmark, or from the Fehmarn Belt route towards Funen, save the detour via the Great Belt Bridge by using it. The line joined Molslinjen in 2018, when the Aarhus-based company won the tender for the Bornholm routes, bought a stake in Danske Færger A/S and merged the company into its own group; in doing so it took over not only Bornholm but also the connections to Als, Fanø, Langeland and Samsø. Molslinjen is Denmark's largest domestic ferry company, owned by the infrastructure fund EQT and part of Nordic Ferry Infrastructure. The operator behind the brand is Molslinjen A/S, Færgevej 7A, Aarhus.
Ships and fleet
Two identical sister ships, M/F Langeland and M/F Lolland, serve the route. On board you'll find the Bistro Provianten with smørrebrød, burgers and French hot dogs, the Barista's Coffee Shop with coffee and cake, free Wi-Fi, a spacious lounge, a lift from the car deck, and a sun deck with seating. Tickets are paid for at booking by Dankort or credit card; frequent travellers set up PayZapp and are billed automatically by number plate, without booking in advance.

It runs hourly year-round, from early morning to late evening, with up to 18 departures a day, and takes 45 minutes across the Langeland Belt. Coming from Germany, you reach Tårs via Rødby on Lolland in a good 45 minutes' drive; on the other side, the main road crosses the Langeland Bridge to Rudkøbing and on to Funen. Both ports are small and easy to navigate, with parking right at the terminal: in Spodsbjerg at the ferry office opposite the terminal, and in Tårs at the service centre on Spodsbjergvej 20.

With a Standard ticket, you need to be checked in at least 15 minutes before departure, and this applies equally to cars, motorbikes, mopeds, bicycles and foot passengers, as well as to motorhomes and vehicle-and-trailer combinations, groups, buses and articulated lorries; only special transports require 30 minutes. Checking in later means your space reservation is forfeited. If you need help boarding, or want your vehicle placed near the lift, call the ferry company 48 hours in advance and check in 30 minutes before departure. Langelandslinjen sells the Standard ticket as a refundable fare: changeable free of charge up to the original departure, rebookable for up to three months, and refundable for a fee. Frequent travellers use the 10-Turskort, with automatic renewal on request for foot passengers, or a Bizz agreement billed by number plate. Children aged 4 to 15 travel at a reduced fare, and children under four travelling with a paying adult travel free.
