Set the ferry terminal in Spodsbjerg, Langeland, as Ny Spodsbjergvej 339B, 5900 Rudkøbing in your sat-nav. You reach Langeland from Funen via the Langelandsbroen bridge at Rudkøbing; from Svendborg it's around 30 minutes to the terminal, and on the island you follow road 305 heading east. The port of Tårs on Lolland is at Spodsbjergvej 20, 4912 Harpelunde. Coming from mainland Europe via Germany, you take the E47 motorway across the Fehmarnbelt and continue west from Rødby to Tårs in about 45 minutes. Both terminals are small and easy to navigate, with parking right at the port and short walking distances. Since only this one operator serves the route, there's no need to search for the right terminal.
Check-in and departure
You should be checked in at least 15 minutes before departure - this applies equally to cars, motorbikes, mopeds, bikes and foot passengers. Loose trailers, unaccompanied vehicles and special transport require 30 minutes. If you miss the deadline, your reservation lapses. Check-in is handled via the machines right at the terminal; booking online in advance is recommended, though walk-up tickets at the machine are also possible. Bring a valid photo ID - the operator may carry out ID checks and can refuse boarding to travellers without valid identification.

Arrival and onward travel
At Tårs on Lolland, secondary road 9 leads straight from the port; after around 45 minutes you reach Rødby and the Fehmarnbelt crossing towards Germany, or alternatively continue via the Great Belt Bridge to Zealand and Copenhagen. At Spodsbjerg on Langeland, road 305 takes you to Rudkøbing and on across the Langelandsbroen bridge to Funen; Svendborg is about 30 minutes away. The port of Tårs also has motorhome pitches and a small campsite if you want to stay overnight before the crossing.

Langelandslinjen sells the standard ticket as a refundable fare: you can change it free of charge up to the original departure and rebook up to three months in advance; a refund is possible for a fee up until departure.
